Designing Panels for Historic Mural in Bellingham
Working with historic photos, I'm starting to design panels
for the Heritage Mural project. Small loose sketches with ink and photo-shopped gray mid-tone values.

New Heritage Mural in Bellingham

2 young nuns were invited to Bellingham to start a hospital, it was a lonely road.

The sisters had a small dairy at the hospital for patients
Running to the ER.
There's a lot of great historic material to work with for the new Heritage Mural at Peacehealth, St Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham. The Whatcom Museum has extensive photo archives. The space inside the hospital is 70 feet long. My design will tell the story of healthcare in Bellingham, starting in 1890's with the 2 sisters that came out west and sold tickets for the hospital they wanted to start.
