Today's daily oil painting is a portrait of our local dance instructor, Linda Downs. She is much prettier than I have painted her, I wanted to show her introspective side. 6" by 8" oil on panel. Available.

- Artist Statement I like all areas of art, doing everything from portraits, figurative work, collage, monoprints, pastels, plein air painting, and Abstracts! It is great when things cross over from the abstract universe to the real world, a wonderful synthesis. Above all I am colorist and I believe in strong drawing skills at the basis of all my work.
