Madrona Tree
Amazing trees with red bark. The new undergrowth can be a chartreuse color. Here is a small 12 " x 12" oil plein air of an old Madrona tree. They are very slow growing, dense, and good for smoking salmon. Palette knife helps stay away from too much detail. Sold, thank you Terry!

This is a spectacular piece. I saw it last week when I was in your store, Funk 'n Junk, and loved that you put actual Madrona bark in the painting. It's fabulous.
Artist Statement
I like all areas of art, doing everything from portraits, figurative work, collage, monoprints, pastels, plein air painting, and Abstracts! It is great when things cross over from the abstract universe to the real world, a wonderful synthesis. Above all I am colorist and I believe in strong drawing skills at the basis of all my work.
